Mottoes
Many achievements include a family motto or other text, usually displayed on a ribbon or scroll.
Motto Type
You can introduce this with either of the words motto or device. Mottoes are available in two types (more may be added later), they are ribbon or scroll which can came before or after the keyword above. The default type if none is given is ribbon.
Motto Position
The motto and its type can optionally be followed by either of above or below to place the scroll in the corresponding position. You can use both variants in the same shield. Synonyms like at the top/bottom can also be used.
Motto Text
This is then followed by the text of the motto itself. If the motto is longer than one word then you MUST enclose it in double quotes, "like this", and this is the recommended practice for all mottoes.
There is no limit to the length of mottoes the text will just get smaller to fit.
Motto Text Options
You can give the motto text any plain colour, this must immediately follow the motto text. Additionally you can use some of the options available for charges as text, including setting the text style, underlining, or setting the stroke colour (the latter isn't really visible unless you zoom in).
Motto Adjustments
Mottoes may be adjusted using the Artist Hints, which must follow immediately after the motto text and/or colour.
