ACADEMY, Royal Irish. Argent, a saltire gules, charged with the imperial crown of England proper. Crest — Out of a pointed or Irish crown or, an etoile of eight points argent, charged with a cross gules. Supporters — On the dexter a female figure representing Liberty, holding in her right hand a wand, thereon a cap gules, on the sinister a figure of Minerva, holding in her right a lance, and in the left a scroll. Motto — " We will endeavour."
