ARUNDEL (Sussex).
ARUNDEL (Sussex). Has no armorial bearings. The seal represents a swallow volant. (Evidently a pun upon the word "hirondelle, Anglice, swallow.") Legend, " Sigillum burginsim de Arundel." Burke's " General Armory " gives this as a coat-of-arms, namely " Ar. a swallow volant in bend sinister sable."
