NORTHAMPTONSHIRE.
NORTHAMPTONSHIRE. Has no armorial bearings. The arms of the town of Northampton have frequently been used in lieu of county insignia, but an old seal formerly used for county purposes has an heraldic rose within the legend
" Northampton." The seal of the County Council has adopted the same design of the rose within the legend "County Council of Northamptonshire, 1889."
