By default, charges get arranged in a sort of triangular arrangement depending on how many there are and whether the space available is wide or narrow. They are evenly spaced apart and some charges may be stretched either horizontally or vertically to make best use of the space.
It is possible to override the default arrangement of charges in various ways:
