Notes

The Parthian Dragon looked similar to a Chinese Dragon and used on many shields and banners. Variations of Crescent and Star were also popular coat of arms on banners, shields, coins in Parthian and Sassanid Empires. Crescent and Star sometimes appeared as a crest on a banner or a top position of on a shield appearing with animals such as Dragon, Lion, Leopard, Boar, Wolf.
