    [To overcome the problem of printing a Wikipedia argent
 shield on white paper precede the blazon with:]

[then omit the field and continue blazon

e.g. a fess Gules fretty Or between three Eagles displayed
 proper]

a fess gu fretty or 2 eagles displayed (proper) grady
 sa and tenne beaked and legged bisque langued gu armed
 grey in chief  closer together slightly higher an
 eagle grady sa and tenne beaked and legged bisque
 langued gu armed grey in nombril higher
