Morgan eschewed his stepfather's name and was known for a time only as "Morgan the Bastard" or "The Bloody Bastard" (something his stepfather often called him.) The red field and black bend sinister honor that background. He eventually took the surname Ironfist for himself (hence the silver gauntlet;) the golden stag's head honors the god Let.
