The smallest of the three Iles d'Outremer; in the past centuries it hosted nothing more than a small settlement of fishermen, Thierry de St-Malo enlarged the local harbor village and built a small castle. Local legends say that sirens hide in the rocks and caverns along its northern shore and that their songs can drive fishermen to madness; apparently, sometimes, some inhabitants disappear for a couple of days and then come back to the village in a confusional status with vivid hallucinations, despite this has most likely to do with ergot intoxication from contaminated bread.
