A member of the small nobility of south Farlingia, from the small town of Blankenburg; his father, a lawyer, addressed him to the law studies in the Universitas Rhovaniense, he never graduated and devoted himself to the military life and a long and adventurous life, of which we have traces in his diaries, written in latin; hurt after the battle of La Motte he diserted and flee to Lafrance, when he later enrolled in the fleet under the banner of Guillaume de Ligny; captured and sold as a slave by the Moor pirates, he escaped and later had his revenge by conquering the Moor citadel of Tiblis, on the Southern Shores.
