Notes
The third of four brothers from a small noble family of Garmandy; initially addressed to the ecclesiastical career, he preferred instead to serve as an errant knight. A protagonist in the religious wars of Lafrance, when the Calter heretics sacked and burned the monastery of St-Feuillien, led by his elder brother Roger, he took the cross to fight Pierre Lapin and his supporters and invaded Loningia with the Lafrancian coalition; died very young, killed in single combat by the margrave Ludwig von Schwanstein, which he nevertheless managed to hit at the head, arresting his nearly unstoppable charge; and despite his battalion fled after his death, he is still acclaimed in Lafrance as an hero and a martyr.
