Proposal for an improved flag of New Jersey. The colors are taken from the current flag. The fillet saltire + escutcheon arrangement recalls the flag of the island of Jersey, but the style of escutcheon is the closest available to the standard depiction of the escutcheon on the current flag of New Jersey, and the escutcheon itself is a simplification of the arms of New Jersey (azure, per pale three ploughs proper)
