In what part of the shield is the roundel?

Although this matches the wiki description historical images show that the top bar of the tierce in quarter II show argent and not ermines additionally the ermines in the bottom bar of the tierce are in a straight line and the number of the ermine marks (4) do not change from the II to III quater indicating (although unlikely) that instead of the field being ermines it might be blazoned; on a field argent 4 ermines.
