New Arms for University of Regina
Google news alerts for "Heraldry" and "Coat of Arms" seems to throw up a lot of Canadian stories. Maybe the Google programmers were Canadian and built a biased algorithm! Or perhaps Canada is a pleasant, peaceful country where there isn't much other news...
Whatever, I present to you the rather splendid new Arms for the University of Regina. The open book is common (and appropriate) for educational institutions and I like the wheatsheaf representing the prairie. Also love the writer's description of the shield as "green... with a thick band of gold...". Rather, Vert, a chevron or methinks....
