Here are some assumed arms of the French style that I saw recently. I'm translating freely...
Arms: Argent, a beaver on a log all Proper; in chief, a three-point label Gules; in base three lance tips Sable fesswise.
Supporters: a wreath of maple leaves Vert highlighted Sable, points meetin in saltire
Motto: Le succès dans l'effort - Success through effort.
The label and the lance tips have been borrowed from the arms of various founders / early residents.
Good intentions, but a bizarre result in the end. What do you think?
