The CHA posted some foreign arms registrations the other day. I'm sharing one that I find extraordinary - that's something I have never seen before.
Oh, and the attitude of the deers on the crest will be of interest.
Arms Barry of eight Or and Gules between on the second bar a lion passant guardant counterchanged and on the fifth bar a like lion also counterchanged a pile overall in bend Azure;
Crest Within an ancient crown Or two Roe deer combattant and guardant Azure supporting between them a staff Or tipped with a Maltese cross Argent pendant therefrom a gonfannon of St. George with four streamers Gules;
Motto PRO POSTERITATE. This Latin phrase means "For posterity".
