BERVIE (Kincardineshire). Has not matriculated any arms. The seal shows

" an heraldic rose " ; and " Gules, a rose argent," have been quoted as the arms ; but the oiificial notepaper of the town is stamped with a rose stalked and leaved, the stalk upwards, within the legend " Bervie Town Arms " ! [A little heraldic knowledge might not be amiss in Bervie.]
