PEMBROKE HALL (Cambridge). (Founded in 1343 by Mary, daughter of Guy de Chastillion, Compte de St Paul, in France, and wife of Aymer de Valence, Earl of Pembroke.) The dexter half of the coat of Valence, dimidiated with the sinister half of the coat of Chastillion. The arms of Valance are — Barry of sixteen argent and azure, over all ten martlets in orle gules. Those of de Chastillion — Gules, three pallets vair on a chief or, a label of three points throughout azure.
