Notes

In the centre of the shield, on a blue background, is the figure of Triglav in white, with two wavy blue lines below, representing the sea and rivers. Above it, three golden hexagonal stars, representing the three Counts of Celje, are arranged in a downward-pointing triangle. The shield is bordered in red on the sides.Triglav is Slovenian highest mountain. Linden leaf is Slovenian national plant. Black panther is Caranthanian symbol (medieval Slovenian country) Motto above was published by newspaper Delo when Slovenia was indepentent from SFRY motto down is ancient Slovenian motto.
