Loyal to the Pope, feared by heretics, Dominican Inquisitor Guy de St. Jacques was a brilliant politician: under his egid Inquisition became one of the main political references for the Papal faction in Lafrance, contrasting the Emperor's claim over the control of the Brancalonian Church. He played a key role in gaining his faction the support of great Lafrancian houses willing to gain more autonomy from imperial power.
