Notes

Quarterly: 1st gules, three lions passant guardant in pale or, armed and langued azure (for England); 2nd per fess argent and vert, a dragon passant gules (for Wales); 3 argent, a cross gules, in honor point an imperial crown proper, in fess point a mullet of six argent charged with a hand gules (for Ulster); 4th azure, within a tressure flory counter flory argent a unicorn rampant argent (for Scotland); en point entee gules fimbriated sable a triskelion of legs armored argent (for the Isle of Man); overall an escutcheon sable charged with fifteen roundels or (for Cornwall). In keeping with my desire to limit the number of lions on this shield, I've elected to use Y Draig Goch (the Red Dragon) to symbolize Wales, rather than the more often used lions of Gwynedd; I've also decided to recruit Scotland's supporter of a unicorn rampant argent instead of the lion rampant gules, and have gone with the azure and argent color scheme of the Scottish flag, but have maintained the familiar tressure flory-counter-flory. I wanted to include Cornwall and the Isle of Man, even though Cornwall is officially only a county/duchy, and the Isle of Man is a Crown dependency, and neither is a constituent country of the UK; I realize, however, that this could quickly get out of hand if (for example) all of the Channel Islands wanted to be represented--and that would scarcely help with the profusion of lions issue...
