Notes

Abasement of municipal arms (armigerous families were usually ended instead) was practiced by both sides of the Fourth War. Abolishers usually accomplished this through creative (and unprecedented) forms of dimidiation; a common one, blazoned "abased per pale" in-setting, replaces half the escutcheon with the abolitionist sword argent on sable as shown here. (The dexter half could be anything; this example was created by the random blazon generator.) OOC: If there's a proper way to blazon a half-dimidiation like this, let me know. I have no idea, and there's only one other blazon in this site's archives that attempts it.

If you would like to modify this blazon and see the effects
