Another piece of civic heraldry from the Eastern Townships, the arms of the University of Sherbrooke. Obviously, the open book with the big 'S' is sorta weird
Note the lovely pseudo-coronet of maple seeds in the crest.
Arms Quarterly Vert and Or, a cross quarterly counterchanged, in the dexter canton a fleur-de-lis Or, overall an open book Argent bound Sable;
Crest Issuant from maple seeds Or, a snowy owl close proper;
Supporters Two foxes standing on a grassy mound set with purple coneflowers proper;
Motto VERITATEM IN CHARITATE;
