If the wife dies and the husband'* marriesagain, he either places the arms of his first wife on the dexter side of his shield, and those of the second wife on the sinister, with his own in the centre ; or he still divides the shield per-pale, keeping his own on the dexter side, and dividing the sinister side per -f esse places the first wife's arms in chief and the second wife's arms in base.
