Bevilly(fr. bevillé), or bevilled: a term of doubtful origin, and omitted by most writers on heraldry. It signifies a kind of break forming a bevel, or acute angle. It is applied to the chief, bend, &c.
Or, a chief bevily vert--BEVERLY.
Gules, a bend bevilled or--BOVILE.
Per pale beviled azure and or--ALTHAM.
