Additional Edits

The intent of this page is to collect information about additional edits that can be done, primarily in Inkscape (inkscape.org)

PNG Exports (If built-in image save not suitable)

Sometimes, (especially if you have used artist hints) the DrawShield program may not correctly identify the image boundaries. There are also upper and lower limits on the exported image size. An alternative approach is as follows:

1. Save the image as an SVG file (NOT PNG)
2. Open the image in Inkscape (free download from https://inkscape.org)
3. File -> Document Properties
4. In the panel that becomes visible, open the drop-down "Resize Page to Content"
5. Click on the button "Resize page to drawing or selection" (Make sure nothing is selected!)
6. File -> Export PNG Image
7. Choose your size parameters and click on the "Export" button
